Dr. Sean Lager’s interests and specialties are in arthroscopy and the management of sports-related and severe traumatic injuries for children and adults. Dr. Lager prefers to perform arthroscopic surgery for a number of reasons:
Dr. Lager completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. He has served as the head team physician for the annual New York-New Jersey All-Star Classic high school football game. Additionally, over the last five years, Dr. Lager was the team physician for several high schools and Division I College sports teams. He recently served as a member of the medical staff for NFL Football and professional soccer teams.
In 2005, Dr. Sean Lager was honored with the NCAA Award for his research on women's lacrosse injuries at the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine annual meeting.
Dr. Lager is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and in March 2010 was elected to Fellowship of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He received his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Lager received his Board certification in July 2008

In order to enhance his surgical skills, Dr. Lager attends at least two advanced surgical laboratory courses annually.
