Joseph Weber-Lopez, MD
Dr. Joseph Weber-Lopez was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up on Long Island. Dr. Weber-Lopez graduated from Georgetown University and completed medical school at the American University of the Caribbean. He is a board-certified specialist in both family medicine and sports medicine. Dr. Lopez is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
After completing his residency in family medicine at the Hofstra North Shore LIJ School of Medicine in Glen Cove, NY, Dr. Joseph Weber-Lopez then completed a sports medicine fellowship at Atlantic Sports Health in Morristown, NJ. During his fellowship, Dr. Weber-Lopez served as the sports medicine fellow for the New York Jets football team, Seton Hall University, and many local high school and college sports teams. Dr. Weber-Lopez has also provided event coverage to local triathlons and volunteered as part of the medical staff at the New York Marathon. Dr. Weber-Lopez has also lectured at both national and local academic meetings.

Dr. Joseph Weber-Lopez brings a total body approach to the treatment of athletes and non-athletes alike. Dr. Weber-Lopez treats non-operative orthopedic conditions including sprains, strains, and fractures. He also treats athletes with concussions from a variety of sports using the latest techniques. Dr. Weber-Lopez is actively involved in concussion research and dedicated to getting athletes back on the playing field as quickly and safely as possible.
Dr. Joseph Weber-Lopez's training in family medicine and sports medicine allows him to treat the whole body and not just a body part. Dr. Weber-Lopez's advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound helps him find the right diagnosis, and his experience with athletes of all types and levels allows him to craft an ideal treatment plan for each patient. Dr. Weber-Lopez specializes in providing alternatives to surgery if it is the best option for the patient.
